Sydney City Centre and Manly

We made the 10 hour bus ride from Coffs to Sydney. It was quite a long bus ride and very uncomfortable when trying to sleep. We arrived in the big city and managed to find our way to our hostel after taking a trip to the information centre.

Our hostel was just off to the West side of the city, one bus ride away from the city centre in the suburb of Glebe. It is a really cute, artsy neighbourhood and has lots of old houses and tree lined streets.

For the first evening we caught the bus to the city centre and checked out the Sydney Opera house and the Harbour Bridge. They were both amazing to see. The opera house is such an amazing piece of architecture and the bridge was enormous.

The next day Sami and I took the ferry across the harbour and went to Manly. Manly was one of the nicest beaches in the area, and was popular among the locals there. It was very busy as we were there on a Sunday and many surf camps were going on.

I happened to be feeling fairly ill so we called it a day pretty early and headed back to the hostel. It was the first time I felt bad since arriving in Australia, so I guess I can’t really complain.
